NTBETASKEW

Returns skewness of a specified beta distribution.

Syntax

NTBETASKEW(

  • Alpha,
  • Beta

)

 

Parameters

  • Alpha is a parameter of the distribution \alpha\;(>0).
  • Beta is a parameter of the distribution \beta\;(>0).

Remarks

The skewness of the distribution is given as:

\frac{2(\beta-\alpha)\sqrt{\alpha+\beta+1}}{(\alpha+\beta+2)\sqrt{\alpha\beta}}
