# NTBETAPARAM

Returns parameters of the beta distribution for the specified mean and standard deviation.

## Syntax

NTBETAPARAM(

• Mean,
• Stdev

)

#### Parameters

• Mean is the arithmetic mean of the distribution.
• Stdev is the standard deviation of the distribution (Positive value).

## Remarks

Parameters are estimated as:

$\alpha=m\left[\frac{m(1-m)}{\sigma^2}-1\right],\quad \beta=(1-m)\left[\frac{m(1-m)}{\sigma^2}-1\right]$

where $m$ is mean and $\sigma$ is standard deviation.

How to copy an example
